This needs to be read by everyone literally everyone.our generation is so caught up in trying to be "cool" and edgy, hiding behind jokes and sarcasm, that we forget the real impact of our words. We laugh off vulgar comments, thinking it’s just part of the act, but deep down we’re all contributing to an unhealthy culture of insensitivity. It’s not just about being funny or acting tough it's about understanding the consequences of the things we say and realizing that people are not immune to the hurt they cause.This is something that absolutely needs to be read by all of us

You have elaborated this phenomenon perfectly. If I could summarise the background of my essay, a large part of it would definitely sound like this comment of yours. Like you, I also find that part the most outrageous which pushes you into that uncool corner which for some reason negates all rationality and conversation. I have myself also had to tolerate, even laugh reflexively at nasty jokes made at my expense as a Kashmiri. I have never been proud of that, and those moments of laughter have weighed heavily on me ever since.
